The Basic Health Care College Fredericia - Vejle - Horsens offers four different study programmes, all based on a mix of theory and practice.
INTRODUCTORY COURSES 1 & 2
In the introductory courses the students will be introduced to the Social- and Health Care Helper and the Child Care Assistant programmes,
both of which they subsequently can apply for.
Most of the tuition is provided on campus and will include basic care work involving elderly and children.
SOCIAL AND HEALTH CARE HELPER
This study programme focuses on nursing, care and activation of adults and the elderly. Students learn to provide professional care
and nursing, plus personal and practical assistance.They also learn to help the elderly lead an active life.
Tuition is provided on campus and in practical experience placements at care homes and the home help service, where students get to
help the elderly at home.
SOCIAL AND HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT
The Social- and Health Care Assistant study programme focuses on basic nursing and care work, practical help and activation for patients
with physical, mental and social problems due to illness, weakness or a handicap.
Tuition is provided on campus and in a practical experience placement at hospitals, social psychiatric clinics, care homes and the
home help services, where studensts visit elderly at home.
CHILD CARE ASSISTANT
The Child Care Assitant study programme focuses on educational science, psychology, health and care for children and adolescents plus
adults with mental and social problems.
Tuition is provided on campus and via practical experience in daycare institutions, schools, residental and daycare provision for adults
and in private homes.
